Archbishop Aldo Cavalli appointed Apostolic Visitator for the Parish of Medjugorje

The Apostolic Nunciature in Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) announced that Pope Francis had appointed Archbishop Msgr. Aldo Cavalli, the former Apostolic Nuncio to the Netherlands, for the new Apostolic Visitator with a special role for the parish of Medjugorje, indefinitely and ad nutum Sanctae Sedis, and it was also announced at noon on the same day by the Press Office of the Holy See. Msgr. Aldo Cavalli was born in Lecco, Italy, on October 18th, 1946. On March 18th, 1971, he became a priest in Bergamo.
