Archbishop Michael Jude Byrnes appointed eight priests, five of them canon lawyers, to serve on the Archdiocese of Agana's metropolitan tribunal, or the judicial office that examines whether a marriage is valid or not. Guam's Catholic Church receives 25 to 30 applications for marriage annulment every year, according to Tony Diaz,  the archdiocese's director of communications. Byrnes also reassigned several priests who had been involved with the Yona seminary run by the Neocatechumenal Way. (...)
