Arriva l’allarme della Caritas per il rischio di carestia in diverse regioni dello Zambia a causa di un prolungato periodo di siccità che ha creato scarsità di acqua per le persone e gli animali. «Molte famiglie non hanno nulla da mangiare e sopravvivono cibandosi di frutti selvatici o rimangono del tutto prive di cibo. Ciò comprometterà certamente la nutrizione e lo stato di salute della maggior parte delle persone, specialmente i bambini, e se non si interviene con urgenza, potremmo iniziare ad avere i primi morti per fame», ha ammonito il presidente dell’organizzazione caritativa, monsignor Evans Chinyama Chinyemba, vescovo di Mongu, in occasione dell’avvio della campagna di raccolta di nove milioni di dollari da destinare all’acquisto e alla distribuzione di cibo per le popolazioni colpite.

(LB) Oggi, assicura una testata brasiliana, la Pontificia Commissione per la Tutela dei Minori dovrebbe incontrare Papa Francesco per discutere e valutare insieme un progetto pilota che riguarda in particolare le vittime, in concreto, meccanismi possibili ed efficaci affinché la persona abusata nella Chiesa abbia un'adeguata voce in capitolo e poi l’intero processo, dalla denuncia alla guarigione, sia garantito con la massima serietà e premura. L'esperimento coinvolgerà tre Paesi: Filippine, Zambia e Brasile.
