Abusi sui minori, escalation della violenza, aumento di uso e spaccio di sostanze stupefacenti, nonché le conseguenze della crisi economica sono stati i principali temi affrontati dall’assemblea plenaria della Southern African Catholic Bishops’ Conference (Sacbc), svoltasi recentemente a Mariannhill, in Sud Africa, e al termine della quale sono state diffuse due dichiarazioni.
Nel primo documento, i vescovi si dicono pronti a impegnarsi per «potenziare le modalità per segnalare eventuali casi di abuso», per «accompagnare le vittime nel loro processo di guarigione» e per far sì «che i colpevoli siano chiamati a rendere conto delle loro azioni».
