(Matt Stevens) A leading American cardinal who met with Pope Francis on Thursday to discuss the sex abuse crisis that has engulfed the Roman Catholic Church is facing criticism over his management of a priest who was arrested this week on charges of indecency with children. The cardinal, Daniel N. DiNardo, of the Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston, has been accused of knowing about at least two episodes of sexual abuse by a priest, who was allowed to remain in ministry for years. (...)
