Channel 5: ‘How Charity Money from the Vatican helps near-front Donetsk area’

Now all in all over 60 projects of humanitarian aid from Pope Francis are under implementation in the territories of Donetsk and Luhansk regions. The residents of near-front area of Donetsk region are assisted by the Pope of Rome himself. Five mobile teams have already been formed out of the Vatican’s money, and they provide almost the whole range of medical services to patients in most distant villages. Find more details in the report of Channel 5. Ivanivka is the village located at the distance of 30 kilometres from the demarcation line. To get qualified medical consultations local residents must normally go to Mariupol. But today doctors have come to Ivanivka. A therapist, an endocrinologist, a cardiologist – a mobile team works in the territory of Donetsk region which is under the control of the Ukrainian authorities. They provide a full range of services, from express tests to fluorography. And that is all free of charge. (...)
