Religious leaders offer prayers to Kumamoto quake victims

In an interdenominational show of faith, Shinto priests, Buddhist monks and Christian pastors gathered on a hill overlooking the famed “Laputa no Michi” (Road of Laputa) on April 15 to commemorate the victims of last year’s earthquakes.A Shinto priest opened the memorial service by offering a sacred tree branch and bowing and clapping hands.
