Cardinal Gabriel Zubeir Wako, on Sunday officially retired as the Archbishop of Khartoum.  The Archbishop announced his retirement during a church service at Saint Matthew’s Cathedral in Khartoum on Sunday. Cardinal Zubeir Wako, previously the Bishop of Wau in South Sudan, became Archbishop of Khartoum on the 10th of October 1981 making his term in office as the Archdiocese of Khartoum for 35-years. In the Canon Commandment of the Catholic Church, a diocesan bishop retires from the administration of the diocese when he reaches the age of 75. (...)
